What the Together realm stores

RuneScape Dragonwilds: Together 2.0.3. This applies to the Together Worlds only (World 1, World 2, ...: the official game servers linked by the Together hub, hub.rsence.com). Your own worlds, solo worlds and player-hosted worlds never talk to the hub: there the mod only keeps its own files on the host's PC (totem/chest owners and access lists, the Codex checklist).

How data flows

Your game client has no network code of its own. It talks only to the game server you joined, through the game's own chat channel. The Together World you play on sends the hub what the features need. So the hub never sees your IP address, and it never sees your Steam account, email or payment details.

Joining through the realm's gateway (185.28.22.59 / play.rsence.com): the game's own traffic between you and the World passes through the realm's gateway, which picks a World for you. The gateway needs your IP address while you play, in memory only, to send the World's packets back to you; it remembers which World your IP address last played on for 30 minutes (so a reconnect brings you back there), and its logs keep only a shortened address (the last part removed, e.g. 203.0.113.x), at most 30 days. It never reads the game's packets. Joining a World by its own address instead skips the gateway.

Hiscores and adventurer profiles

The Together hiscores publish character names, skill levels and experience, quest progress, recorded dungeon finishes, and an interactive representation of recorded appearance and equipment. The adventurer’s log keeps the latest 200 recorded milestones; the public page shows the latest 100. Initial progress is a snapshot and does not invent historical completion dates.

Official Worlds supply these records. Dungeon history starts when tracking is enabled. Imported native quest progress is not independent proof of when or where an earlier quest was completed. Browser lighting, pose and some material effects differ from the game; unsupported appearances are marked unavailable.

/hide or /anon removes your character from public hiscores and profile lookups. Public requests recheck current privacy settings and use no-store responses; an open page rechecks at least once per minute and clears its records while hidden. Previously shared screenshots cannot be recalled. Records remain linked internally to the realm character for integrity and continuity. Public URLs use opaque identifiers and never expose platform IDs, coordinates, inventories, bank contents or balances.

Interactive realm map

The realm map shows native environment meshes and read-only snapshots of placed structure geometry on World 1 and World 2. It includes structures built by players. The snapshots contain visual models and transforms, but omit owners, saved piece identifiers, access rights, inventories and bank contents. The map checks for completed World saves every minute and streams changed structure chunks; the active save time is shown in the map. Player visibility settings apply to player icons; structure geometry is a separate snapshot. There is no simulated activity mode.

The real read-only realm feed shows World counts and player icons. Positions are at least 45 seconds old and rounded to 25 metres; this reduces precision and timeliness but does not guarantee movement cannot be inferred. Player icons use temporary identifiers, not character keys. Players inside dungeons, hidden players, server bots and banned accounts are excluded. Current visibility and name settings are rechecked when positions are requested.

Character names follow Together privacy controls. Names are shown by default. Use /anon in Together chat to keep your location visible as Adventurer; /named restores your name. Use /hide to remove your player icon entirely and /show to restore location sharing. No separate map-name opt-in is required. Current privacy settings are rechecked before a delayed position is published, so an older sample cannot restore a hidden name.

Position samples and API rate-limit addresses are kept in memory only; the application does not write them to a tracking database. Player responses are marked no-store. The map view and selected places can be stored in the URL fragment for sharing. Private-area and economy publication are disabled. Hosting providers still process requests under their normal service policies.

The optional offline download stores versioned map assets and sanitized structure snapshots in this browser. Live player responses are never stored in the offline bundle. Download size and progress are shown before and during the download; you can pause it or use Clear downloaded map in the map controls. Browser storage may be evicted unless persistence is granted.

What the hub keeps

What Why Where / how long
Your character's key (the game's character id), character name, the name shown to others, and your platform display name to know who is who across Worlds; a changed display name on the same key is flagged for review database, while the realm runs
Where you stand, your look, gear and current action to draw you for players on other Worlds memory only, never written to disk; gone when you leave
The last World the realm saw you on to route party invites and World switches database, while the realm runs
World, local and party chat passed on to the players who should see it not stored. Your last 20 lines are held in memory so a /report can include them
Reports (/report) moderation database: reporter, reported player, reason and those chat lines
Mutes, bans and flags your mute list; moderation database
GP balance and its ledger (every change: kills, trades, auction sales, purchases) so no GP can be created, duplicated or lost; balances are audited against it database, permanent (append-only; it is the audit trail)
Character records (items, skills and XP of each realm character as last confirmed, a history of joins/checkpoints, and where items came from: "provenance") to keep items from other worlds, solo play or edited saves out of the realm and to restore a character exactly database. Provenance of stackable items is pruned after 120 days, of gear after 365 days; the record itself while the realm runs
Bank (contents, operations, shared-chest trust lists) your bank is the same in every World database. Contents while the realm runs; the operations log is append-only
Auction house listings and deliveries buying and selling across Worlds database, while the realm runs
Building templates (the pieces of the builds you packed or placed through the realm), region presets, totem upgrades portable bases database, while the realm runs
Parties, invites, dungeon runs and loot lockouts parties and dungeons across Worlds database; invites expire after 60 s, a party ends when its last member leaves
Hub server logs to find bugs and abuse the log names game servers (their IP addresses) and sometimes a character key; kept at most 30 days
Gateway (185.28.22.59 / play.rsence.com) to relay the game's traffic to the World it picked your IP address and the World it plays on, in memory only (30 minutes after you leave); logs: shortened addresses only, at most 30 days

Not stored: full IP addresses of players (the gateway holds them in memory while you play), emails, real names, payment details, hardware ids, anything from your PC.

Retention

Your choices (in game, on any Together World)

Deletion and questions

Open an issue at github.com/Proxify/rsdw-together/issues with your character name and the World you play on (don't post anything private there; the admins will reply and can continue privately if needed). On request your account is deleted: name, display name, bank, templates, listings, party, character record and reports about you. GP ledger rows are kept without a name, as described above.
